In this post, we
discuss the first, Present perfect tense. During the course, we will furnish
you with in-depth knowledge of grammar and practice it with exercises. According
to the description, here we have taken an example from a famous quote from Bruce Lee a
well-known martial artist and influenced by his work and marshal practice.
Here, in this quote
“I fear not
the man who has practiced 10,000
kicks, but I do fear the man who has
practiced one kick 10,000 times."
Grammar point: 1) Present perfect tense:
Application:
1.
Unspecified
time in the past:
we use the present perfect tense to
discuss ideas, events, activities started in the past and finished in the past
as well as no importance is given to specific time means when the event started or
ended is not important. Again, when it comes to sharing life experiences
mentioning a specific time is not essential.
For example, I have traveled to The Netherlands.
Here, in the above example, a specific
time is not important to mention as trawling to a foreign country would be a
great experience. isn’t it? But if you want, we can use the same tense for repetitive
events or activities by mentioning how many times. Let’s see an example below.
Example: I have traveled to the Netherlands
two times.
2. Using
‘Since’ and ‘for’
Summary:
-It expresses unspecified time in the past.
-It can also use to share life experiences.
